2020 Fall Causebox
Happy Fall Y’all! It’s officially fall and I’m getting all the cozy feel-good vibes from my 2020 fall causebox. Not familiar with causebox? It is a quarterly subscription box filled with ethically-made, sustainable goods. This is my second box and I am loving every item I’ve received. I love that causebox’s mission is to create a greener, fairer, and kinder way to shop.
There are two ways to subscribe to the box: Quarterly subscription at $54.99 / 3 months OR Annual subscription at $199.80 / year
I am an annual subscriber, which allows me to customize each quarterly box. I find this makes it so I really love all the items in the box and I get to choose which items will be most useful to me. A subscription also includes access to their Members-Only Market where you can shop high-quality and sustainable products as low as 70% off. I usually find one or two items I needed like reusable plastic bags or sustainable sponges that I’ll add on to my causebox.

Way of Will Brightening Face Serum | $37.50
I had been looking for a vitamin C brightening serum for a healthy, dewy look during the colder months. This serum is great since it fights free radicals and hydrates skin. Perfect for fall and winter! This serum also includes Vitamin A, also known as retinol, which prevents acne and signs of aging by putting collagen production into overdrive and increasing cell production.
Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel | $39
When I opened my box, I was hit with the soothing scent of the de-stress muscle gel. The gel includes many star ingredients like: black pepper to improve circulation, ease muscles and pain; ginger warms muscles, joints, boosts circulation and stimulates the mind; and rosemary detoxifies the body and helps clear the mind. The ingredients are all ethically sourced and natural. No harsh chemicals or unnecessary synthetics. That’s a win in my book!
Bathen Waffle Towel Set in Charcoal | $90
I’m always skeptical of the thin waffle towels. They typically look super cute, but never actually dry you off. These are actually pretty absorbent, but I like how they dry pretty quickly as well. They are super soft and produced by artisans in India, which provide sustainable and meaningful employment to a predominately female team.
The Green Co. Set of 10 Reusable Facial Rounds | $10
This is another item I am very excited about since I wanted to purchase these earlier this year. I’ve been really loving my skin routine, but let’s be honest using cotton rounds to apply toner, exfoliating scrubs, etc. every day is costly to our planet. 1.3 billion makeup remover wipes are thrown into the trash every. single. day. That adds up to 7.6 billions pounds of waste. Makeup wipes are the third most wasteful products in the world and can take over a hundred years to decompose! These reusable cotton rounds are ethically made with vegan materials and without any chemicals or pesticides. They are designed to withstand multiple washes and can replace up to 12,000 cotton balls. Amazing!
Artisan Direct Milky Way Lantern | $40
This lantern is adorable and adds a nice touch of hygge to my home for the upcoming cooler months. Adding a candle illuminates the cut-out stars on the walls of my bedroom and is just so cute!
Core Bamboo Serve Set | $35
I love that this cheese board/serve set is made out of bamboo as it is one of the most renewable resources on the planet. Bamboo can be cut down, harvested and within a couple of years each stalk will have grown back. The bamboo in this serve set is organically grown and FSC certified, ensuring that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. I can’t wait to use this for when we can finally host girls night again 🙂

There you have it! A total of six amazing and most importantly, useful items all for about $50. The total value of the box is well over what I paid, but honestly I just find it fun to find such high-quality, sustainable goods that support artisans all over the world.
